About a year ago, I wrote a Post “Compassionately Approaching Chaos.”  I return to it now with a profound awareness that chaos seems to have become our daily bread, inescapable, challenging and often frightening in the context of our nation and the global community.  We are one with the global community and as individuals, groups and as a nation we influence the stability of the world concerning the choices we make regarding a culture of life and/or a culture of death.

When I refer to chaos’ presence, I believe it seems to encompass all of our Common Home.  Our hearts, our very beings, are certainly aware of the reign of chaos. This ever present awareness  calls us to discernment pondering the chaos and a response to it — indeed a heart of boundless compassion, inclusive of all, here and now, wherever we dwell.  A heart overflowing with compassion is the labor of a lifetime but possible, footstep by footstep.

Look about and discover companions for the compassionate journey to relieve our Common Home of chaos.  They are there – remember women are marching!  Companions mutually support efforts of compassion and calmness as together we approach chaos.  Membership in the Charter for Compassion provides inspiration and a passageway to the compassionate way of being – to living the Golden Rule – “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” Matthew 7:12.

Since October 24, 2014, the Christine Center is a member of the Charter for Compassion and a partner with the Religion/Spirituality/Interfaith teams of the Charter.  With the year 2018, the Charter for Compassion entered its 10th year.  There are over two million individuals around the Globe who are members of the Charter. There are 400 cities in 54 countries that are recognized as compassionate cities. Take a risk to grow a culture of compassion and diminish chaos.  Join the Charter for Compassion by visiting:
